Carcassonne
Carcassonne is a fortified French town, in the Aude département of which it is the préfecture, in the former province of Languedoc. It is separated into the fortified Cité de Carcassonne and the more expansive lower city, the ville basse. The fortress was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997.

The Cathar Castles - Peyrepertuse
If you only have time to visit one of the Cathar castles, then your best bet is the Château de Peyrepertuse, not only for its unbeatable site and stunning views, but also because the complex is unusually well preserved. The Peyrepertuse is one of the most awe-inspiring castles anywhere in Europe, clinging to the crest of a long, wickedly jagged spine of rock on the top of a mountain ridge, surrounded by sheer drops of hundreds of metres.

Collioure

Collioure, an idyllic place on the rocky coastline, is situated in the very south of France, 26 km from the Spanish border. The picturesque village is nestled in an authentic environment. It's small Catalan harbor is sheltered by a quiet bay where the chain or the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean Sea.

Minerve
Minerve is a fortified medieval village, with many of the fortifications still in place, perched high above a canyon in the barren Languedoc landscape - the village is on top of the gorge carved by the River Cesse before it disappears underground in a natural tunnel.

Pont du Gard
The Pont du Gard was built shortly before the Christian era to allow the aqueduct of Nîmes to cross the Gard river. The Roman architects and hydraulic engineers who designed this bridge, which stands almost 50 m high and is on three levels – the longest measuring 275 m – created a technical as well as an artistic masterpiece.

Terra Vinea
Terra Vinea is a cave 80 meters below the surface, and is a magnificent cathedral like structures with barrels of the local wines gently maturing lining the tunnels. The constant humidity at this subteranean level have become an ideal storage place for the ageing of local wines.

 Château de Festiano
In the heart of the Languedoc region, situated on the rich clay and chalk hillsides of the Minervois, Château Festiano is pleased to welcome you. On tasting their wines, you will realise the virtues of the terrain, as well as the signature of the family's 'savoir-faire' for wine producing, which has meant that since 1899 they have received numerous medals and awards.

L'Oulibo
About 20 kilometers from La Marelle stands L'Oulibo, a cooperative that produces some of the best olives and olive oils in France. The two most prominent varieties in the area are the tiny picholine and the larger lucques, with their pointy ends and irregular shape. Some consider Lucques the best green table olive in the world.
